Ridge Kids
Helping kids know Jesus and His love
At Ridge Church we have such a vibrant community of kids running rampant with energy downstairs, learning about God, who He is, and how loved they are by Him. On average, there are 90 kids per week spread throughout the nursery all the way up to grade five. Your giving allows us to work through curriculum with kids that shares who Jesus is, how much He loves our little ones, and provide some snacks to get their hands busy! We love our kids and are so grateful to be with them each Sunday, teaching them all about God and learning about all the amazing stories throughout the Bible.
Ridge Kids
Creating Joy Beyond Sunday
RidgeKids is so much more than one hour on a Sunday morning. As a result of church giving, we are able to have events where we get the opportunity to spend time with your kids outside of a Sunday morning. Over the years, we have had Kids Night Out, which is an opportunity for the kids to come to the church on a weekday to play games, eat fun food, laugh, watch movies, or take part in whatever our RidgeKids team has cooked up for them.
Sometimes, we are able to host community events! One of the events that brought not only our kids but the community of Maple Ridge together was our RidgeKids Car Rally. Held in our church parking lot on a Saturday, we filled the space with a bouncy castle, box cars that raced down a ramp, games, and police even came to say hi and give the kids a peek inside their vehicles. Of course, snacks were handed out to all who passed through!
Giving financially is an act of worship and a practical way to take part in what God is doing through His church. Everything we have is a gift from God, and giving is one way we respond with gratitude and trust (1 Chronicles 29:14). Our generosity supports the ministry of the church, helps care for people in need, and creates opportunities for more people to hear the good news of Jesus. Together, we help make it possible for our city and people around the world to know Jesus.
The Bible encourages us to give thoughtfully and cheerfully, without pressure or obligation (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving is not about earning God’s favour or meeting a certain amount, it is a response to the grace we have already received in Jesus. As we give according to our means (2 Corinthians 8:12), we grow in generosity, learn to trust God with our resources, and share in the work of His kingdom.
