Donate Shares/Securities
You can support Ridge by donating publicly traded shares and securities. This giving option allows you to contribute investments directly to the church while potentially receiving tax benefits. Your generosity helps support the ministry and mission of Ridge in our church and community.
HOW TO DONATE SHARES OR SECURITIES
1. Donor may download and fill out form, then give to their financial advisor.
2. Instructions are on the form, so donors have clear instructions.
3. Donor’s financial advisor/relinquishing institution will then process the transfer request.
4. Relinquishing institution instructed to notify RBC Dominion Securities, Vincent Shenk (vincent.shenk@rbc.com) and Daniel Sandison (daniel@ridgechurch.ca).
5. When money arrives in Ridge Church’s account, RBC Dominion Securities will notify Ridge Church.
6. Ridge Church and RBC Dominion Securities will have a quick phone call for Ridge Church to give RBC Dominion Securities instruction to liquidate securities. (As soon as possible after funds arrive)
7. Ridge Church to issue tax receipt.
Giving financially is an act of worship and a practical way to take part in what God is doing through His church. Everything we have is a gift from God, and giving is one way we respond with gratitude and trust (1 Chronicles 29:14). Our generosity supports the ministry of the church, helps care for people in need, and creates opportunities for more people to hear the good news of Jesus. Together, we help make it possible for our city and people around the world to know Jesus.
The Bible encourages us to give thoughtfully and cheerfully, without pressure or obligation (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving is not about earning God’s favour or meeting a certain amount, it is a response to the grace we have already received in Jesus. As we give according to our means (2 Corinthians 8:12), we grow in generosity, learn to trust God with our resources, and share in the work of His kingdom.
