Creating Space to Worship
One of our favourite problems to have is to be so full in our house of worship on a Sunday morning that people have to sit along the walls because there’s no room left in our pews and that a bigger prayer team needs to line the room so that there’s an opportunity for all who want prayer to receive it. It is a joy and privilege to hear so many voices sing out in worship and to see all the people listen to the Word of the Lord being spoken.
Because of your generosity, we can run these services each week, maintaining our equipment as it begins to need replacement or upgrades. Whether it’s a microphone, lighting, cables, or computers, these are the instruments we use to join in with your voices as we gather and praise on a Sunday morning.
Giving financially is an act of worship and a practical way to take part in what God is doing through His church. Everything we have is a gift from God, and giving is one way we respond with gratitude and trust (1 Chronicles 29:14). Our generosity supports the ministry of the church, helps care for people in need, and creates opportunities for more people to hear the good news of Jesus. Together, we help make it possible for our city and people around the world to know Jesus.
The Bible encourages us to give thoughtfully and cheerfully, without pressure or obligation (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving is not about earning God’s favour or meeting a certain amount, it is a response to the grace we have already received in Jesus. As we give according to our means (2 Corinthians 8:12), we grow in generosity, learn to trust God with our resources, and share in the work of His kingdom.
